Sébastien Buemi has dominated the field in scorching conditions this morning in race two at the Hungaroring, blasting by his fellow front row starter Andy Soucek to take a strong win ahead of the Spaniard and Bruno Senna. The win came as a result of the mounting pressure he put on his rival, with Soucek running slightly wide at turn 12 and handing a clear run through to the flag for the likeable Swiss driver.

The fastest lap specialist struck again this afternoon, with Kimi Raikkonen once again at the top of the lap time sheets for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Finn was never in contention for the race victory, but put in series of fast laps during the second half of the race. Team-mate Felipe Massa was second fastest, underlining Ferrari’s pace today. Lewis Hamilton was third fastest, ahead of Nelson Piquet and the impressive Toyotas, whilst race winner Heikki Kovalainen was only 7th fastest.

Heikki Kovalainen notched up his maiden Grand Prix victory today after he picked up the pieces after first his team-mate Lewis Hamilton suffered a puncture and then with only three laps to go a dominant Felipe Massa suffered an engine failure in his Ferrari.
