24H Series Roll of Honour 2017

A few days after the Hankook 24H PORTIMAO, the season finale of this year’s 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, the dust has settled a bit. Time to look back on yet another season of exciting competition in the international endurance race series and to acknowledge the performance of the title-winning drivers and teams with the traditional Roll of honour. Of course, competition in the CREVENTIC SERIES powered by Hankook is far from over yet, with the event at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium as a round of the 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook and the 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook still coming up from 6-8 October, 2017. One month later, the battle for the Championship of the Continents titles will be decided during the inaugural Hankook 24H COTA USA, 10-12 November, 2017.

Teams and drivers having taken part in at least two rounds of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook were eligible to score points in the championship. In most classes of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, the battle for the title went down to the wire, especially as 1.5 times the regular number of points was at stake during the season finale at Portimao. In some cases, only one point made the difference. Swiss team, Hofor Racing, had a dream season with a clean sweep of the titles in every category that it entered. As a team, Hofor-Racing won the overall GT teams’ title, the A6 class title and the A6-Am sub-class title. Its drivers Chantal Kroll, Michael Kroll, Kenneth Heyer, Roland Eggimann and Christiaan Frankenhout won the overall drivers’ title, the overall GT drivers’ title, the A6 class drivers’ title and the A6-Am sub-class drivers’ title. Rounding out the success for the Swiss team, Chantal Kroll also repeated her Ladies’ Cup title win from last year. Car Collection Motorsport driver Max Edelhoff won the rookie title in the classification for drivers under 25 years of age.

This year, CREVENTIC will be honouring its champions in style. The official end-of-season awards ceremony will be held at the ‘Night of the Champions’ in the stylish environment of ‘Le Mythe’, the restaurant overlooking the world-famous Eau Rouge corner of the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, on Sunday evening, 8 October 2017, from 19.00 till 23.00 hrs. Here, the champions of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, the 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook and the 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook will receive their trophies.
