Two-Tone / HART Racing

HART Racing have released photos of their newly delivered Acura NSX GT3. The car, which will run with the #69, was delivered shortly before Thanksgiving and has since gone through a complete rebuild. The NSX is now ready for this weeks Roar Before the 24 at Daytona.

The drivers have been confirmed too. First to be announced were Honda R&D Engineer Chad Gilsinger, and Acura factory driver Ryan Eversley. Eversley raced the NSX GT3 for the factory backed RealTime Racing in the Pirelli World Challenge in 2017, and did select events for HART Racing in the Honda Civic in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

The pair will be joined by ELMS LMP3 Champions Sean Rayhall and John Falb. The pair dominated the LMP3 class, taking 5 podiums out of 6 races and finishing 22 points clear of their nearest rivals.

“The Rolex 24 is one of my favorite events with the most iconic trophy in all of motorsports, the Rolex Daytona,” says Falb. “Going for the win with Chad, Ryan, and Sean is going to be a blast and those guys are all super-fast. HART spent all of last year refining the Acura NSX and I am confident we will have a great package when we get to the ROAR.”

It will be old news to some, but Myles Gilsinger and the guys at HART have been more than helpful in getting us up to speed, so it deserves a mention.

It’s nice to see the NSX GT3 in the hands of another team in IMSA. It’s always hard to judge how a car is doing when it’s only being run by one team. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more of the car in Europe in the coming years – it’s very pretty.

Also pretty is the red and black HART livery. It’s almost old-school seeing a simple livery on a car nowadays. It’s a nice change to the standard Acura NSX livery.

The driver lineup is strong too, especially for a NAEC only entry. The reigning ELMS Champions worked well together in the LMP3 class, while a factory Acura driver is just the icing on the cake.
