JDC-Miller Motorsports has revealed the livery for the #99 Gainsco-sponsored Oreca 07. The new ‘Red Dragon’ will run at this weekend’s Roar Before the 24 test, and then continue throughout the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The #99 Red Dragon is technically a replacement for the #85 Banana Boat, as drivers Simpson and Goikhberg move over to the #99. Rebellion LMP1 driver Menezes joins the regulars for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Fortunately for fans, the Banana Boat is not lost. What was planned to be the #86 is now the new #85 and the loveable yellow Banana Boat livery returns. The new #85 car will be driven by Trummer, Alon, Cindric and DeFrancesco for the Rolex 24.

Let’s be honest – it’s beautiful. The Gainsco liveries have always been pretty, but on the Oreca it’s even better. The JDC livery set is one of the prettiest on the grid. But then again, the same car be said about a lot of the IMSA grid – it’s a very pretty grid.

With JDC-Miller Motorsports being granted a Le Mans entry for 2018, what us Europeans want to know is whether or not we’ll be seeing a Red Dragon or a Banana Boat at Le Mans?
