2016 British GT4 champions, Team HARD, are the latest team to confirm their entry to the 2018 British GT championship and will be fielding two Ginetta G55 GT4s. No drivers have been named, but Team HARD have confirmed that three drivers have GT4 experience and will run an all-Silver driver pairing in the first car and “a star of the future” for the second car.

Racing under the Autoaid/RCIB Insurance Racing banner last season, Team HARD had a difficult 2017 and finished last in the GT4 teams’ standings. Team boss Tony Gilham, however, is confident of a better season in spite of the raft of new cars joining GT4 for 2018.

“GT4 is growing at a very fast rate and the level of competition is very high,” he said. “We are under no illusions how strong the grid will be this year but are more than ready and as a team we are always up for the challenge.

“I think the rise of interest in the GT world as a whole and especially GT4 makes it a very appealing career move for up and coming racing drivers. Couple that with our unique concept as a team and that is arguably one of the best overall packages available.”

Team HARD now have a dedicated GT factory to better prepare themselves for their 2018 campaign.
