Normally tRL TV posts don’t get a huge amount of text to accompany them. We tend to just post the videos because that’s what the section is about. However, this post is a little different due to the content on offer. Driver61 has produced the definitive guide to the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
When we say definitive, we aren’t using that term loosely – the almost 3 hour guide is presented by driver coach Scott Mansell and 2016 Nürburgring 24 Hour winner Adam Christo (that’s Adam Christodoulou for those of us who remember his British Formula Renault days!).
Normally we should we somewhat wary of posting a 3 hour video (that isn’t a full race). Such a video is incredible in depth, inherently technical and takes a fair bit of concentration and understanding to watch. However, if it’s one thing we’ve learnt in the short 4 months that tRL has been going is that you guys absolutely love the nerdy stuff. Our most popular set of articles so far are the Race Tech Explained series on racing tyres. You guys love graphs and who are we to argue? So a 3 hour circuit guide is probably right up your street!
There is an accompanied PDF to aid your viewing, and timestamps of the different parts available on the Driver61 site. We recommend sitting down with a good coffee and having a watch of this one. It’s fascinating to listen to Scott and Adam discuss the circuit to this level of detail.
