The world’s leading sports car championship – American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón – comes to the Ohio State University campus Tuesday, August 3 with an emphasis on its position as the Global Leader in Green Racing. Partnering with Ohio State’s U.S. Department of Energy-supported EcoCAR program and College of Engineering, the Series will deliver a program at Knowlton Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. that emphasizes advancements in technology and alternative fuels being pioneered by its manufacturers and teams.

Chris Dyson passed two cars at the start of the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix and led his home race for six laps in the #16 Castrol Dyson Racing Mazda Lola coupe. At the start of the seventh lap, he radioed that the car started to loose power down the front straight after changing up to sixth gear.
