This street circuit is located in the Dutch port of Eemshaven, 30 km (18.5 miles) north of the city of Groningen. The circuit is used for motorcycle racing, and has been in use since 1982. To prevent illegal street racing, the circuit is barricaded in one section when the road it is open for public use. The circuit layout crosses the local railway in two places ("Spoor"), as it winds its way alongside the windmills and dykes.
